Remember When is a family saga that reflects, through the life of the Alcántara family, the transformations suffered by Spanish society since the end of the sixties. It is the most award-winning fiction series of Spanish television and the one with the greatest continued success.
The series opens in April 1968 and portrays contemporary Spain through the stories of a middle-class family, the Alcántaras, who live day by day the evolution of Spain during the last years of General Francisco Franco’s dictatorship into a modern democracy.
The series has been broadcast on the primetime of public channel TVE 1 from September 2001, with excellent audience results. It has been also been recognized by critics as one of the best productions of all time.
One of the series strengths is to tell a universal story, that of a family that stays together in a world of change and conflict, by creating great characters that are inserted in historical events thanks to archival images and digital effects.
Remember When has been adapted in Portugal, Italy, Argentina and Greece.
