NIGER, A SILENT EMERGENCY

This documentary is an account of the experience of actors Imanol Arias and Ana Duato during their visit to UNICEF’s projects in Niger.

The actors – Goodwill Ambassadors since 2000 – tell their first-person impressions of the country and introduce the viewer to the work of UNICEF’s collaborators.

In addition to the vision of an expert in international cooperation and statistics on children, the close narration of the two ambassadors helps to understand the daily reality of Nigerian children. The report shows different stories about UNICEF-sponsored projects in the field of access to drinking water, child nutrition and the fight against the spread of AIDS.

The documentary has been broadcasted several times by the Spanish public channel TVE 1 and by other channels and institutions.
