Ganga sells format rights of “Remember When” for an US adaptation

An agreeement with Lodon based New Media Vision has been reached so te British company has acquired  the format rights for the hit Spanish series Remember When for a possible U.S. adaptation.

Airing on Spain’s m public TVE as Cuéntame Como Pasó since 2001, the original series chronicles the evolution of three generations of a family in the ’60s as they pursue their dream of a middle-class lifestyle.  Grupo Ganga Productions, has already sold the format rights os its production  to  Italy, Portugal, Greece, the Czech Republic and Ecuador.

Miguel Ángel Bernardeau, Grupo Ganga’s founder and series producer, stated: “We always believed in the international possibilities for our format Remember When. When Todd approached us with the idea of a U.S. adaptation, we—after his success adapting The Mysteries of Laura for NBC—knew that he was ‘the right stuff.’”
